Wizz Air: Electronic devices allowed during take-off and landing

Image: Smartphones are allowed to be used, although not for making calls. The restrictions on the use of electronic devices during take-off and landing on the European aviation market are becoming more relaxed. The Hungarian airline Wizz Air is also now giving its passengers free rein.

The EU only relaxed its regulations on the use of electronic devices on board in December. Step by step, European airlines are allowing travellers to have tablets, Smartphones or e-books switched on during the whole flight. On Wizz air flights passengers are now even allowed to use their electronic devices when the plane is taking off or landing. According to the airline, however, laptops have to be securely stored away and are not allowed to be placed on the lap when working. Also, as previously, all mobile devices have to be set to airplane mode.
